Scran Mission
I think i'll have tinned potatoes and curry tonight. I need to get some washing up liquid and buy some food from the supermarket. I need a chopping board and a sharpe knife. Hmm! I'll need to make a list of stuff. I do need some more flannals and towels. Oh and some toenail clippers as I can not remember where they are. So for food I think I will go and purchase loads of packet sauses and vegtables that will keep for a week. I have to pop to my mums tomorrow and show her the Vanbulance and drop some washing off I have offered to pay but mum insisted so that was kind of her. I'm still unsure on food but I guess I'll just plan some meals in my head and do it like that. I could do with some face wipes too.

Moving Out
Well today is Tuesday 08/07/08 and I am officially a hobo gypsy boondocker. I no longer have an address which is quite handy as I think I got a speeding ticket on the Savanna on Sunday driving to the Grand Prix. I spent the night at my friends we had a lovely roast lamb dinner that was fantastic. I stayed late and drove the Savanna back to work and parked it next to the camper. It's very odd thinking this was it no more regular hot showers but saying that I went 3 days without showering at Glastonbury and I didn't smell! I'm not saying i'm not going to wash atall it's just we get so used to showering everyday it feels odd not to. I washed this morning in my twig and berry bowl. I heated some water on the gas stove. I slept really well last night it's very warm in the camper and i'm strarting to make it cozy. The Van still needs a wash and a good turf out so i'll be doing this when the weather cheers up me thinks.

Learning the Ropes
There is alot to learn and the whole lifestyle will be an experience.
Where to wash for example, eating, are my main concerns at the moment I still have to start the gas hobs up and figure out what to eat. The fridge doesn't work as it can only be switched on during hook-up so I will use that as storage for now. I can get gas from a local shop. I have a Wok to cook in so I can do alot of types of food. I need to buy A big bowl to wash in I have a solar shower coming I was thinking of tying to make a shower rail to attach to the back door. I'll get some flannals from the super market and loads of other bits and bobs I need. I need to work out the inverter to watch TV sometimes and play the PS i'll figure it out in time.

All my elecrical stuff is now at work stored. I may sell it all yet i'm not sure. Basicly i've had to really slim down with my belongings. All I have now is my books and clothes and some cooking utensils my TV and PS2 all I need really.
My second nights sleep in the Vanbulance was alot warmer than the first as I got out another duvet and laid it underneath me. Much cosyier indeed. I awoke to the sound of shouty kids being taken to school which isn't unusual although but it's much loader as they are right next to me walking along the path.
The Vanbulance is (Fingers crossed) being collected today and getting fixed so I can finally move into the countryside. Although I will have to wave good bye to the power shower and toilet. I have a solar shower in the post today so i'll blog how that goes.

The Vanbulance is ill
I parked the Vanbulance away while I was at Glastonbury festival it was very tight getting it in and in the process very nearly took out a wall as I wasn't paying attention properly Ops! I disconnected the batteries as I was told to as I think there dodgy. I also discovered the portoloo smelled a bit whiffy so I tucked that under the van until I returned.
I got back from the festival in one piece, started the van first time and everything was ok apart from one interior strobe light wasn't working.
I drove the Vanbulance home that night and parked outside my rented accommodation I planned to move in the following day. I'd already had one car boot sale but still had to ditch loads of stuff.
Leaving the Vanbulance parked outside the rented house I went to work. My house mate needed to move the big white beast while I was out at work and in the process he unfortunately didn't realise how delicate the ignition was and now the barrel is jammed. ARSE!

The Vanbulance
I've been banging on for ages about living in a camper, 5yrs too long infact I guess i'd been doing everyones head in about it. I had also reached the end of my teather sharing accomadation with other people and paying rent which was dead money to me.
I had been looking at various campers for ages but many were far too expensive or looked very tired. I spotted the Vanbulance and it looked quite smart I didn't think I would have a hope in hells chance of getting it but I veiwed it and made an offer and it was sat outside my mates house before long sticking out like a massive white thumb. I must admit at this point I was very excited at the prospect of living like a gypsy and was looking forward to moving in.
